An MoU has been signed to set forth the framework for collaboration between the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) and the PRICE Institute to enhance research on household well-being in India.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is located in Mumbai as an advanced research institute established and fully funded by the Reserve Bank of India for carrying out research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view. The aims and objectives of the Institute are to promote and conduct research on developmental issues from a broad interdisciplinary perspective (economic, technological, social, political, and ecological). It aspires to gain insights into the process of development and alternative policy options and to further disseminate the knowledge acquired.

PRICE and IGIDR agree to collaborate on research papers, reports, technical notes, and other relevant publications with the goal of understanding and establishing the development management principles and practices in India and globally. Both institutions will share knowledge and expertise to improve their respective research methods and will assist each other in enhancing the quality of their analyses.

Purpose and Scope: The purpose of this MoU is to establish a cooperative working relationship between the IGIDR and the PRICE to (i) Facilitate data exchange for research purposes; (ii) Collaborate on research projects, publications, and methodological improvements; (iii) Establish an invitation program to enhance collaboration through short visiting stays for researchers.
