As one moves down the income chain, a higher proportion of families can be found living in urban areas. About 37 per cent of the Clear Rich (Annual household income is from Rs. 50,00,000 to Rs. 1,00,00,000 at 2020-21 prices) live in rural areas, and a little over one-tenth of those living in urban areas live in towns with a population of less than a million. About 36 per cent of the Clear Rich households are found in the metros.
