The concentration of the Clear Rich (Annual household income is from Rs. 50,00,000 to Rs. 1,00,00,000 at 2020-21 prices) in the cities remains unchanged. For instance, about two-thirds of Clear Rich lived in million-plus population cities in 2015-16 and 2020-21. However, the density or the share of Clear Rich households in Mumbai rose from 4.2 per cent in 2015-16 to 5.4 per cent by 2020-21. At 12 per cent annual growth between 2015-16 and 2020-21, Surat has witnessed the fastest growth, followed by Bangalore (11 per cent), Ahmedabad (9.6 per cent) a nd Hyderabad (9.5 per cent).
